Hahahahahahaha. I have no idea why I came upon this video, but it make so much sense. I guess the combination of being a nerd and loving npr allowed me to stumble upon this fascinating discovery of “The Other Golden Rule”. Apparently, all mammals pee at the same rate. Looking at the flow rate of urine in mammals, it makes complete sense when treating the urethra as a pipe. Most of it depends on pressure and gravity. I’m not sure why someone decided to start studying the flow rate of urine in mammals, but I think it’s pretty awesome that they used physics to do it. Here, ladies and gentlemen, is the perfect example of combining every useless thing you’ve learned in college to a real life situation.
